After years of serving side by side at the Manitoba Métis Federation, they know that the progress citizens have earned is best protected and expanded by a team that has already proven it can deliver, together.

Andrew Carrier brings over 30 years of leadership and service within the Métis community. First elected in 2000 as Regional Director and serving as Vice-President since 2018, he is a proven leader known for his integrity, strong Métis roots, and commitment to advancing the priorities of the Winnipeg Region.

JoAnne Remillard brings 28 years of Métis community involvement and dedicated service to citizens across the Winnipeg Region. First elected as Winnipeg Regional Director in 2018, she is a strong believer in unity and teamwork, with a record of helping strengthen important initiatives and representing the needs of the region with care and determination.

David Beaudin brings 35+ years as a citizen of the Manitoba Métis Federation and a strong track record of community service, education leadership, and advocacy. Elected as Winnipeg Regional Director in 2018, his work reflects a commitment to building stronger communities and helping move important priorities forward.

  3. Annual High School and Post-Secondary Graduation Ceremony (2019 – 2024)
  4. Annual Street Fest & Pride Parade (2025)
  5. Annual Vegetable Distribution (2022 – 2025)
  6. Garden Box Program — 308 delivered
  7. Assisted in the creation of two Day Care Centres — Louis Riel Day Care and Little Fox Day Care
  8. Supported the annual Rooster Town picnic
  9. Saved the Riel House from permanent closure and reallocation to St. Norbert
  10. Supported the creation of the Lemay Forest
  11. Supported a number of Locals' annual picnics, May Teas, Christmas events, and more
  12. Supported the Transitional Home for children aging out of MCFS
  13. Supported the creation of Fre Marche, transitional housing
  14. Supported the activation of Locals — from 6 in 2018, to 11 in 2022, to 19 in 2026
  15. Welcomed 5,120 new Red River Métis citizens in 2025 – 2026
  16. Maintained the use of the Métis Club for Locals and the Community
  17. Paid out all existing mortgages for the McGregor and Portage Ave. properties
  18. Attended evening Local meetings — 4 times per year across 19 Locals
  19. Developed and attended the Winnipeg Region's Annual Regional Meetings
  20. Attended and presented at all of the MMF's Annual General Assemblies
